- Christy Jordan who died about 1931 (aged 77) was a rhymster. So too were his father & grandfather. Jordan lived on Mullacrew Hill near Louth Village. Advertising his cabbage plants he wrote:-If you want some cabbage plants

On the hill of Mullacrew.Larry - father of Christy - was once 'summoned' by john Kiernan for trepass of cow on Kiernan's land. He (Larry) made the following verse about the incident:-Little John the widow's son

And fined poor Larry Jordan**(*Louth Court House)
** Pronounced locally - HURDIN' & JURDINMickie Durnin of Stonetown (died about 40 years ago) made the following verse about a Returned American - & a boastful swank too - the name was Katty Dowdall.She sailed from New York & landed in Cork.
And Pat paid her fare from thar to Dundalk
There is Pattie & Mattie & Wattie likewise
