They thought that it would sink but instead the stone kept afloat and it is supposed to have sailed into Clogher Head about five miles from Ballymakenney.     The above is often told in the district. It was written down my Nicholas Mc Quillan of this school from his aunt of Cartown, Ballymakenny. It is found too in John O'Donovans history of 100 years ago
