- In olden days there used be a linen mill where Dominic St. Church now stands and the church is often called Linen Hall. Part of the Hall remains and is now Boyne's timer mill. The weaving long ago was done by the weavers in their own homes. Here the yarn was given out and the weavers brought it home. The yarn was then woven with the hand-looms. When the yarn was woven the weavers brought it to the Linen Hall and got paid. It was owned by Ennis and Co.Told by Peter O'Brien,
