- There are many signs about the weather some of them leading for bad and more of them leading for good, when there are black clouds in the sky, it is the sign of rain. When a cat has her back to the fire, it is a sign of a storm.
Some people say that when there are blue blazes in the fire it is a sign of frost and others say it is a sign of bad weather. When the birds are shouting it is a sign of a storm and when they are flying low it is a sign of rain. When the wind is blowing from the East it is a sign of cold weather and from the South West it is a sign of rain.
