The queen bee lays eighteen thousand eggs at a time. Out of these eight hundred drones, five or six queen and the rest workers. Besides the work which they do the make honey which is served even in the kings palace. When the owner of the hive goes to take out the honey he is obliged to cover his hands and face otherwise the bees would sting him to death.
"A wasp met a bee that was just buzzing by.
And said little bee could you tell me why
You are liked so much better by people than I
My back shines as bright and as yellow as gold.
And my shape is as handsome to behold
Yet nobody likes me for that I am told
Bee: -
My coat is quiet homely and plain as you see
Yet nobody is ever angry with me
Because I am a harmless and diligent bee...
