Wounds & Cuts
Nettles chopped fine and sprinkled with salt was supposed to be the cure for bad wounds or cuts.
Ulcerated Legs.
The large ivy when prepared and made into a poultice was the famous old cure for ulcerated legs.
An old hair wash
The juice of young nettles was an oldfashioned hair wash(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
