Name of District - Carrik Leck - Carraigh na Leice
Situation - North Meath close to Cavan, Monaghan Louth borders.
The material, in general, was obtained from my Mother, now deceased, and would probably be lost - hence my inclusion of it here.

Bacan - A pig - applied mostly to peg for rabbit snare
Baca - Lame - Such a person has a baca leg.
Bronntonas - A "hand over" - a present
Brash - A tern at the churning
Labog - a spoilt fellow - a good for nothing
Slamóg - heaps - plentiful supply(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
