Long ago it was quite common here for children to go without boots till they would be about ten or eleven.
Even nowadays in the west the grown ups go without boots or shoes at all.
In this school the children go bare foot in summer.
The water used for washing the feet should be thrown out at once.
It is said to be unlucky to keep it in the house.
Neither is it lucky to throw out water on Hallow eve night.
