  1. Travelling Folk
    "Travelling" folk still come to our home, it is very seldom that the same people come twice.
    They bring very small articles with them to sell, some people buy tin cans and things from them.
    They get their supplied from shops and they do not pay very much for them.
    The people in this district take very little notice of the "travelling" folk. They do not generally stay any longer than a night at a time, but sometimes they stay for a few days.
    They sleep on the side of the road. They have very little food to eat, they often ask for bread and milk and all sorts of food at the houses. They sometimes ask for old clothes.
    Some of them travel in bands. There was one band that camped very near our house. Their name was "Hand". Travelling folk often came to our home but they come more often when there are races
