    where the remainder of his days, was filled with remorse and misery. Genebran and Dympna were interred, by some of the people of Geel. Beside their little altar sprung up a well, which is now called the HOLY WELL of DYMPNA, and within the town of Geel is a holy shrine erected in memory of them, and here they are venerated every year.

    Near Kildalkey village in Co. Meath lies an old cemetery. It contains an ivy-mantled pile of ruins. It is called the Abbey of St. Dympna.
