  1. A lady customer was buying handkerchiefs in a shop and the assistant had brought out all sorts and kinds. Eventually he began to get tired of this so at last he said:- "Here, madam, very latest fashion. The edge is right round the border and the centre is in the middle."
    "Oh thank you," said the lady customer effusively. "They are cute. I'll take a dozen please."
