- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)leave the cattle where they were until daylight. It seems the cattle could see the spirit. Three nights afterwards this same man was driving home with his pony and trap; and, when he came to the glen he could hear as he thought a coach and two galloping horses.
- Abouty a mile from Navan, Co. Meath there is a small graveyard called Churchtown. It is a very old churchyard and just to the east of it is a wood. My uncle was once passing through this wood. The evening of falling dark and a thick mist lay on the ground. Now this wood is called the Seven Ghost Wood. Some time ago a ghost was seen there. Anyone who passes the place at midnight hears furious cries.
As my uncle had but a short journey to go, he was not in the least afraid. When he reached the middle of the wood suddenly he was met by a large army who wounded and tore him. Soon afterwards he died. This place is still known as the "Ghost Wood"(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
