- On the second evening after the person dies, the corpse is taken to the chapel on a bearer, carried on the men's shoulders. Immediately after the bearer, comes the relatives of the dead person. Before and after, walk the neighbours. Only the men go into the chapel, and the Rosary is recited. A near relative gives it out. Four candles are left lighted beside the coffin.
At three o'clock the following day, the principal part of the funeral takes place. The chapel is crowded with people. The priest brings out a table covered with a white cloth. Then the relatives go up and put down a 1£ or 10/-.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
