When all the oats that was in the barn was threshed, the oats was put through a winnowing machine to take the chaff out of it. The oats that was cleaned was put in bags, and then ground between two stones. Later the mills were built, and it was brought to the mill to be ground. The people had about twenty barrels of oats long ago. Some of the chaff was put in bags, and a tick was made of it.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
