- Ivy. Ivy is used for cleaning out sheep and is given to cows after calving.
Laurel. Laurel is used for flavouring corn flour or rice.
Nettles. A sting of a nettle is very painful but a green leaf called a dockin cures it. Nettles are also used for feeding turkeys.
The Rogger Leaf. A leaf called the Rogger leaf cures sores.
The Planting Leaf. The planting leaf is round with white stripes runnning through it. It cures burns.
The Cuckoo Sorrel. The cuckoo sorrel bitter plant which the people of this locality eat.
