  1. My Townland is Rosmead and Cavestown. It is now called Rosmead and is in the North corner of the parish of Delvin.
    The ancient name of my Townland was Cavestown and Rosmead, Rosmead is only a small field Southwest of the Stoneyford river over near the churchyard of Clonarny but now Cavestown and Carnybrogan are included in the townland of Rosmead.

    Once Cavestown was a very famous town, an annual horse fair was held in it. It used to last a week, there was a day for jumping and a day for racing horses it was something similar to the horse show in Dublin it must have been the leading horse fair of Ireland until a dispute arose among the people of the town about a
