- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)One day, as the Holy Family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph were going into Egypt, there was a man there who was noted for his charitable works and they called in to him for a drink of water. At that time water was very scarce, and the people had to go far journeys for it. It so happened that this man was gone for a supply of water. When he was leaving he warned the maid not to give any water to any travellers until he would come back. But she did not like refusing so she gave them a drink. When they had drank it Mary said to the maid that she would have plenty of water. It was pouring rain the next day.
