Ar an leathanach seo
- It is said that there is a waggon of gold hidden between the castle of Tyrrellspass and Lacken hill. It is thrown in a pond near a boreen outside a gap.
It is not known exactly who put it there (by) but it is supposed to be put there by the Irish when retreating from the Danes in the eleventh century. Other people say it was [?] by King Philip when retreating from an enemy.
There are marks of digging round a few ponds in Rahugh but it is said no one ever found anything. It is supposed to be in a pond near a rather belonging to Thomas Coyne. People go astray when passing the pond at night.- Bailitheoir
