    During the Famine years the English Government gave Indian meal free to the starving people of Glengorm. The people used to sell the meal from one to another, but when the Government heard this they wet the meal. The people ate grass turnips, and everything they could get
    Two brothers by the name of O'Brian died on the hill opposite our house for want of food. There was a Store in Donore where Indian meal was sold.
