- There are many wells in Mullingar, namely, Sundays well this is situated outside Auburn Terrace, it got its name because an angel was supposed to have appeared to a man on a Sunday.
Priestwell Lane was situated opposite the Dispensary. It got its names from a monastery.
Saint Bridgets well was situated at the far side of Levington, near St Brideacts Churchyard. There is a very small hawthorn bush growing over the well. A man whose people still live, put up his hand to break off a branch, his hand remained in mid-air until the day of his death.
