Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)the cave, which was right under the surface of the green sod of the field grazed over by cattle and sheep for generations. Bones were found. An examination of the bones proved - some of them to be human some animal.
It was thought perhaps it had been built and used by Irish Volunteers in the troubled times, the cave being right in the centre of the land given by Cromwell in West-Meath to his English Confederates 1651.
There is another cave on the same road. It is much smaller than the cave near the road. It contains 2 apartments and was used in Black and Tan times by Rebels in storing of guns.
Occasionally "water dogs" are seen in this cave, they come from an adjoining lake.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
