- "There is a fort in Mr. Gaynor's land of Kilfintan, Co. Longford. It is said that it was the Danes who built it. About fifty years ago local people often heard music in it and saw fairies dancing and singing in it. People often heard churning going on in it but they could never see who was churning. It is built of clay and there is a hedge of white thorn bushes growing round it. No one ever dug it up or cut the hedge that is around it.

There is supposed to have been fairies seen in it long ago. There used to be lights seen in it every night and music and singing heard.
