- The names of the local roads are :-The Float road, the pound road, the new line road, the long road and the mill road. The Float road got its name from the bridge that is over the Inny river, because every one who was going to Dublin long ago used to drive in their side cars to the Inny river and then they would have to get out and get on a float to go across the river and when they would go across the river there would be a side-car the other side waiting for them.
The pound road got its name from a river that flows under the road where it is said long ago people used to pound cattle in this river and the road is called the pound road.
The new line road is called that because that road is not long made. It(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
