- The name of my townland is Kilfintan. It is in the parish of Streete and in the barony of Moy Goosh. There are six families in it and the total number of people is twenty-three. Most of the houses are slated and the rest of are thatched.
Long ago Saint Fintan was supposed to have a church in the place which is now called Kilfintan and ever since that Church was there it is called Kilfintan. The most common family is Mulhill. There is one old woman in this townland her name is Mrs. Dinnan. She can tell stories in English but she never learned any Irish.
The land is very rich for tillage. The most of it is used for grazing cattle and sheep. There are no mountains or hills in it. There is no bog in it but there is a lot of wet land. There are a few small streams running through it. Long ago there more houses and more people in my townland. The ruins of some the houses are to be seen yet.- Bailitheoir
