Once a man who was cured left a penny. There was a "toss-pit" near by + one of the boys lost all his money. He thought of the penny at the well + went + took it. Some time later his hands became covered with warts so that to get cured he had to leave a penny back at the well + do as the other man had done.
A pilgrimage takes place to this well at Ballinahoun or Kilamrnahon as it is called on the 15th Aug. each year.
