- There are many classes of travelling folk, tinkers, sweeps, and pedlars. The tinkers are the Powers and Joyces. The Powers are old residenters in this part of the country. They live in tents and caravans on the side of the road. They visit this district four or five times a year and stop two or three days. The old Grandmother Onie Power is 96 years old. She travels with them during the Summer and in Winter she lives in a house in the town. She boasts that she has forty-six grand-children and great grand-children.
