   There are big Monuments trees growing in some parts of the Country. It is said that there was a funeral passing through Ballinamuck to Tuberpatrick and everywhere they rested they planted an ash bush and they are called monument trees. There is one in Drumbad and one in Kiernans field on the top of a hill in Cloonaugh. There are many others they are very large trees. There are a lot of monument stones along the roads through the Country where people were killed long ago there is one between Ballinalee and Granard where a man was walking along the road and jumped out in front of a bus to stop it and was killed. There is a monument in the townland of Melka - Two stones standing upright and a large flat stone on top of which there is some writing. It is impossible to read the words on it. Most people say that it was and is a resting
