- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Another favourite food was boxty or rasp and potato bread. They used to grate the potatoes and then drain off the water of it. Then they put a pinch of salt and a few handfulls of flour. They baked the boxty on pans. The potatoes were boiled for the bread. They were mixed with flour and salt and baked on a griddle.
