- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Horses are very useful animals also. The house they are kept in is called a stable. They need to be fed well when working. They are given plenty of good clean hay and oats. They are kept well shod always otherwise they would become lame.
They are usually clipped in Autumn before the cold days of Winter come. They are not clipped to bare, only along the neck and underneath them.
In this locality there are various calls for hens, chickens, ducks, geese etc. For hens "tuk, tuk," for chickens "chick, chick," for ducks "weet, weet." Some of these calls are very ancient.
