Mr. Kavanagh, Borris - MacMurrough-KavanaghThis descendant of the Kings of Leinster was born without arms or legs. When in manhood he was a member of the New Ross Board of Guardians. He rode side-saddle into New Ross and as his road led through Mount Garrett he 'put up' at Hammonds', Mount Garret Corner. Mr Hammond himself took him out of the saddle (he would not allow anyone else) and transferred him to a 'fly-car' specially kept for him.
