- There was a man who was very fond of money but he never worked to earn it.
Lasy Jack was his name. He died about twenty years ago. His mother was very old. She used to work every day to feed him and cloath him. When she would come home at night he would be asleep at the fire. One night when she came home she gave out to him.
Jack said after a few minutes, Mother I am going to work in the morning.
