The herbs that have medicinal properties are:
the nettle, the dog-leaf and the dandelion. The nettle is used for rheumatism and for purifying the blood. The dog-leaf is used for pains and stings. The dandelion is used for consumption and a lot of other sicknesses.
The young nettles are boiled in water for a couple of hours and are then strained and bottled. The root of the dandelion is boiled down in water and then it is crushed and about one spoonful is taken. The dog - leaf is rubbed on the place where the pain is and after awhile it goes away.Senan O'Donnell,
