- This is the way I make a tractor. I get a reel and a bit of rubber and a bit of a candle and two matches. The rubber must be about two inches long and a half an inch wide. I put the rubber through the reel and the candle and I put the matches through the rubber at each end. Then I wind it and put it on the ground and it will go. I put notches on the rim of the reel.
I made a man also with two potatoes. One big potato for his body and a small one for his head. I put a hole in the little potato and the big one. I put a stick in the two holes and then formed the head and body. Then I put a hole in each side of the big potato and put a stick in each side and that formed the arms. Then I put two holes in the bottom of the big potato and put two sticks for the legs.
I made a kite also. The first thing I got was two sticks, one stick about sixteen iches long and the other about twelve inches long. I put the sticks in the form of a cross. Then I covered it with brown paper and paste. Then I got about two hundred yards of cord and tied it to it. Then I got a piece of cord about two yards long and tied bits of(continues on next page)- Collector
