On St. Stephen's Day, he was caught in the furze,
Although he is small, his running is great,
Put your hand in your pocket and give us a treat."
    Other parties sing:
"The wren, the wren, the king of all birds,
On St. Stephen's Day he was caught in the furze,
Up with the kettle and down with the pan,
Give us an answer and let us be gone."
One of the party who carries a box, then asks for money, and when he gets it, the party plays another tune and sings another song or the dancer dances.
At the end of the day, one of the members of the party gives a party to the other members. The money is spent on buying cakes, chocolates, and other things for the party, and what is left is divided equally between them.
