There was a man coming home from rambling one night and as he was coming at the bridge of Cullenstown it was between 12 and 1 o'clock.

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
queer sight. The table of the cabin was heaped up nearly to the roof with gold coins which shone and glittered with the light, and by the side of the table on a small stool sat a very small old woman who glared at him savagely and growled.
The boy was now more frightened than ever and he said to the woman in a whisper "could you tell me am I near Tottenhamgreen." He no sooner said this then he found himself standing on the bridge of Cullenstown. Again the old man was sitting on the wall and he spoke to the boy saying "you have lost riches that would have made you a rich man for your life time if you had to take the gold that was for you in the cabin but it is now gone from you for ever."
When the man said this he disappeared leaving the boy to get home as best he could.
