   The smiths were always looked upon for being strong and they are still.
   The are some disused forges in the district in fact there are four.
   One belonged to a man named Clancy and the cooler in which was used for cooling the red iron is not long covered up.
   There was another where a coalyard now stands this was belonging to a man by the name of Prandy.
   There was another forge also at a place called "Mackeys Forge" a little way outside the village.
   This forge is not be be seen now nor are there any people by the name f Mackey around now.
