   When he was cutting it he cut his leg and was lying at the rath nearly dead when some-one found him. This boy died from the cut in his leg and everyone believes it was the fairies who cut him.
   The same thing happened to other people, and anyone who meddled with the rath lost their health or their money and misfortune followed them to the grave.
   Any cattle or calves that grazed on the grass at the rath always died.
   Anyone that went into the rath in the evening never got out of it until the sun rose in the morning for they were kept walking around and around in it.
   Near the rath is a well and the path leading to it passes the rath. One night a man named Pat Kehoe was going to this well when he saw a light at the rath which led him a good distance from his home and he had to crawl out of the field
