    The May Altar is always put up in every home by the children of the family + the nightly rosary recited
    The "May Bush" - a white thorn one in flower is decorated with candles + coloured paper. The children sing during the May Bush porcession
    Young girls of the last generation got a snail to creep on sand May day morning + the snail was supposed to trace the name of a future husband
