- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)as Jack looked around and over the bounds wall he saw a fine field of grass, the grass was two or three feet high in it. Jack pulled a few stones out of the wall and let the cows into the field. When Jack turned them home in the evening they were spilling their milk along the road. The Gentle man was very pleased, but when he heard that Jack had the cows in the Giants field he told Jack that the Giant would eat him if he caught him there. Jack got up next morning and went and put the cows in the Giants field again. They were not long there until the Giant came to the Gentlemans place to get the rascal who put the cows in his field. He stood for a minute and then he said, "fee faw fum" I smell the blood of an Irish man be him dead or be him(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
