    Placed all the treasure in a large cauldron and had it taken secretly to the river bank and buried in a deep pool in the river. He commanded a sword-fish to guard the treasure until heland was free from shore to shore and then to assist one of his desendants to recover it and restore it to the church. There are two accounts given of men who, not believing in the command of O'Dempsey wished to enrich themselves by securing the treasure. One very dry summers day when the river was very low, two men went into the pool and securing the cauldron by two ropes, started to pull it
