- Killedmond got its name by a faction fight that was in it one time. A man told the people to walk over the road and whoever would look back would be shot. He had a son named Edmond, and he looked back, and the man said Killedmond, and Edmond was shot and it was called Killedmond ever after that.
There is a rath in Killedmond, and it is said, that there is several pots of gold in it.
Killedmond is situated at the west of Mount Leinster. There is a lot more people in Killedmond now, than there was in olden times. There is about ninty seven people living in it. There was a barracks in Killedmond, named the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
