This weed is of a whitish hue and there is a terrible odour from it in Summer.Carrigower got its name from olden days. In the penal times the people had no cows but goats were used to supply them with milk. The goats in general were milked at a rock which was called "The Goats Rock" now styled as Carrigower or Carraig Gabhair.
- Dandelion when boiled and stained the juice is an exellent cure for over strung nerves.Foxglove is a very good cure for the heart. but it cannot be used unless a doctor gives leave.
