- The following song was composed by "Spud" Murphy after the death of Rev Fr Lynch, CC Donard, who had had Davidstown Church built, and who worked so hard himself. He used start off every day from Donard, to walk to Davidstown, whiel the work was in hand, and used carry a little bag on his back with something to eat in it.
