He was transported with Byrne and Dwyer to New South Wales in Australia.Burke had to leave his family behind - and I never heard of any account from him ever after. He was my great-grand-father (Martin Burke)When my great-grand-mother died (RIP) some of the young children were taken to rear. Plants took one, and that one, at least, was reared a Protestant - Rachael Burke. There was one son, who died young. My grandmother, a sister to the boy and to Rachael, was reared a Roman Catholic, and married a man by the name of Hayden.
