Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Cows, calves, horses, sheep, goats, cats and dogs are the names of some animals at home.
    The cows got names.
    Some are called by their colour such as the red cow, the white cow, the grey cow, the blue cow and the bracket cow.
    Others are called after the person's name from which they were purchased such as Rielly's cow, Brown's cow etc.,
    When you are driving home the cows you say "Bail up."
    When you are calling home the calves for their drink you say. "sucky-sucky-suck.
    The cowhouse is a large four-walled building with an iron roof on it.
    A channel about three feet wide and six inches deep and the length of the house is cut across behind the cows.
    The stands and the channel is paved with stones.
