- On hallowe'en night the boys and girls dress up and go round to the houses collecting money, nuts and apples - they call themselves wizards.
Everybody eats nuts, apples and barm brack that night. - It is an old custom to keep a candle lit for the twelve days of Christmas.
- It is a custom to eat a mince pie on each of the twelve days of Christmas. This brings luck for the twelve months of the year.
