When it is going to rain the birds fly low especially the swallows; they come down touching the ground with their breasts then they circle up-wards into the air; this is done ever so many times.
When sea-gulls come inland we know that foul weather is near. These lines tell us so -
Sea-gull, sea-gull you sit on the sand It's never fine weather when you come to land.
It is said too that if a dog eats grass or lies with his back on the grass it will rain.
