- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)of the Ninety Eight Insurrection. And he fought for Ireland in the year of Ninety Eight. He was a man of noble deeds
He lived in Ballymanus in County Wicklow, which belonged to generation of the Byrne's for years and years back.
Like other young men of his time he was fighting against the Invader's, ambushing them and attacking them on all lonely roads and mountain passes.
He was captured in Dublin and marched to Wicklow Gaol they could get for him no bail.
On Gallous Lane they hung him on the shafts of an upturned car, his head was rolled down the hill. The people are not sure of where he was buried, but some say he was buried in the old Church yard in Wicklow.
The of Wicklow have erected a Monument in the Market Square to memory of the Clan O'Byrne.- Bailitheoir
