    a Government Store placed here and a big steamer used to come every three months with food, because there was a lot of boats drowned here and sometimes the men could manage to reach this Island it was called "Disappointment Island.
    After three months this steamer came with food and these men were taken aboard and they reached home in safety.
    When Mr. J. Grattan came home to Arklow it was a great surprise, because everybody thought he was dead, his ghost was said to be seen, and he was prayed for off the altar. But Grattan only died about six years ago.
