- People say it is unlucky to move into a new house on a Saturday. We know nothing about cross days, only the old people used to say, that the three cross days of the year were, Whit Saturday, Whit Sunday and Whit Monday. The people used to banish any animals that would be born on either of those three days. They used to say that they were too dangerous, and always went wild. That is what they used to say in olden times.People do not like doing important things on the thirteenth day of any month. The first week of April are called the borrowing days.
